Position Job Title: Safety Director                          Pay Range: Salary                

Title of Supervisor: President & CEO

 

Position Summary:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce safety procedures for the protection of all GEA personnel
  • Lead team to maintain safety manual for GEA
  • Ensure that GEA complies with applicable state and federal rules and regulations regarding occupational safety and health
  • Develop and implement programs to ensure that GEA complies with applicable state and federal environmental rules and regulations
  • Conduct inspections and maintain proper records of such compliance
  • Investigate all accidents or incidents relating to safety or environment
  • Develop training procedures for GEA personnel
  • Assist with fleet program
  • Responsible for Workers’ Comp Claims
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Minimum Required Qualification:

  • High school diploma with at least five years job related experience in power line construction or environmental fields                                                                                                    
  • Familiar with operation of most system vehicles and equipment
  • Ability to operate personal computer and other standard office machines
  • Ability to conduct business with outside vendors, experts and regulatory agencies
  • Superior communication skills, verbal and written
  • Safety knowledge
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations
  • Ability to teach
  • Related work experience
  • Ability to enforce rules & regulations with all employees
